What is included in the kitchen?

Do you provide firewood?

No, you can purchase firewood at any local store around town including 7-11, Vons, and Stater Brothers.

Do you have a BBQ?

Yes. It is a natural gas BBQ and you don’t need charcoal.

Do I have to pay the cleaning fee or can I clean the cabin myself?

Yes. A cleaning fee is charged to every guest to assure that the cabin is cleaned properly for each guest.

How do I get the keys?

A key is not required; the cabin has an automatic door lock system. A personal entrance code is emailed to each guest and you enter the code into the number pad on the door and that lets you in. The code will be emailed to you 10 days prior to your arrival with the instructions and directions.

Where do I check-in/check-out?

You will check-in at the cabin. Ten days before your arrival, you will receive an email with directions to the cabin, a personal entrance code, instructions and a check-out checklist.

Can I have the cabin cleaned during my stay?

Yes, the housekeeping staff is available to clean during your stay for an additional charge.

When will I get my security deposit back?

The deposit is credited back to your credit card or refund mailed within 14 days after your departure.

Can I have an early check-in or late check-out?

We try to accommodate each guests schedule as much as possible. Early check-in and late check-out is possible depending on the rental schedule. Please call or email the day before your arrival for confirmation
of early check-in or late check-out.

What if something is not working in the cabin?

Please call 310.383.7893 to inform us of the problem if it needs immediate attention. Local staff is available in the event of an emergency maintenance issue. We will do our best to fix any problems that arise during your stay.

What if there is a natural disaster and I can not get to Big Bear?

We will provide a full refund in the event that all 3 roads into Big Bear are closed. If there are any roads open into Big Bear, we will not refund in the event of a snow storm, fire, earthquake, etc.

Do I need chains?

We recommend carrying chains with you in the winter months. It is not recommended you rely on purchasing chains on the mountain as it can be quite expensive or your tire size may not be available in the event of a storm. For chain requirements you can go to WWW.DOT.CA.GOV or call 1-800-427-7623.

How do I find out road conditions?

Visit the Department of Transportation website at WWW.DOT.CA.GOV or call 1-800-427-ROAD.

Does the cabin have heat?

Yes, it has central heating.

Does the cabin have Air Conditioning?

No, because we do not need it most of the year. In fact, most homes in Big Bear do not have air conditioning. Take advantage of the fresh mountain air and open the windows.

Can I pay cash when I arrive at the cabin?

Unfortunately, we are unable to accept payment by cash on your day of arrival. We require full payment 3 weeks before you arrive in the form of Visa, Mastercard, check or PayPal.

Do you allow pets?

No.

Do you provide internet?

Yes, the cabin is equipped with a wireless router. In order to use the internet you will need to have a laptop or a wireless device, no Ethernet ports are available. Instructions to connect to the Internet are at the cabin.

Is the driveway cleared if there is snow?

Yes. Every effort will be made to clear the driveway before your arrival. Snow shovels are also available at the cabin during your stay.

Do you provide cable TV?

Yes, the cabin has cable for all 4 TV’s.

What electronic equipment does the cabin have?

The cabin has 4 TV’s, Blu-Ray Player, DVD, VHS, Surround Sound, stereo and a movie library.

Do you provide phone service?

Yes, the cabin is equipped with telephones, including long distance free of charge (Continental US only).

Do you provide paper goods?

  • 2 rolls of toilet paper per bathroom
  • 2 rolls of paper towels
  • Trash bags for the kitchen
  • Foil, plastic wrap, plastic storage bags are not supplied

Do you provide cleaning supplies?

We provide dish soap and dishwasher soap. We do not provide any other cleaning supplies

Do you provide toiletries?

Each bathroom has oatmeal soap for the shower, honey conditioning shampoo, almond hand and body lotion, Make-up remover wipes and liquid hand soap.

Do we need to bring our own towels and linens?

The beds will be made with fresh linens upon you arrival and bath towels, kitchen towels and hand towels are provided.

What is check-in and check-out time?

Check-in is 3 PM and check-out is 11 AM.
